Kill your Monday Blues at Winter’s Eve, New York’s largest holiday festival, featuring music, food, dancing, and street entertainment. The party kicks off with the lighting of the Upper West Side holiday tree and continues with a performance by Grammy-nominated singer Sharon Jones. “American Idol” star Justin Guarini will host the evening, and there will be tastings from more than 30 local restaurants, 20 live musical performances, ice-sculpting, jugglers, stilt-walkers, face painting, and more. 10 Columbus Circle, New York.

Take a break from the holiday shopping madness and do something charitable this Giving Tuesday. GIV.NYC 2016 is a live event where 10 local nonprofits will give a two-minute pitch about their mission, and attendees will vote for their favorites to receive a grant from the event’s sponsors.
