Back to the post-Memorial Day grind in the city. We hope you enjoyed a great long weekend with plenty of time in the sun, bottles of “summer water,” and of course brunch. Round out your week with a little culture and check out “Art, Garden, Life,” a new exhibit at the New York Botanical Garden. The feature is an ornate garden that serves as a tribute to Frida Kahlo, as botanical subjects were a running theme throughout her impressive work.

Volunteer season is kicking off at the Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, a 6,000-square-foot plot in Greenpoint. You’ll be rewarded with a killer view of Manhattan and helping to nurture organic fruits and veggies which are then used by acclaimed local restaurants such as Paulie Gee’s and Eastern District.
