Another summer Monday, another chance for an amazing week. Not to worry you, but we’re in the thick of things now, so there’s no time to waste. Summer will be over before you know it, so have all the fun you can. Step one: Find out what’s happening this week below. Step two: Enjoy!
NYC Restaurant Week kicks off today, which means it’s time to start making reservations at those restaurants you’ve been putting off trying because of their price tag. Enjoy a three-course lunch for just $29 or a three-course dinner for $42 at a slew of participating restaurants throughout the city, including Untitled at The Whitney, Zuma, and Vandal.
Do happy hour the Italian way at Altesi Downtown. At the restaurant’s recently launched Aperitivo, you can enjoy a cocktail with a plate of tasty snacks for only $15. Drinks range from classics like prosecco to signature cocktails, and the food includes parmigiano with pears and walnuts, Italian crudité, and a rotating selection of bruschetta. Apertivo is also available at Altesi’s Madison location and takes place Monday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
If you haven’t checked out The Wellery, Saks Fifth Avenue’s recently launched floor dedicated to health and wellness, yet, here’s the perfect opportunity to do so! Daybreaker is bringing its morning dance party to the iconic department store for Red Lips and Yoga Pants, aka three hours of fitness and fun. Start with one of four fitness options—ConBody, yoga, Mark Fisher Fitness, and 90s dance aerobics—and end the morning with a high-energy dance party hosted by DJ Alyx Ander.
Birchbox is bringing beauty to the beach today through Sunday, so if you’re out in the Hamptons this weekend, be sure to stop by Bhumi Farms, where Birchbox is setting up shop. Today, pick up all your summer beauty essentials, plus shop Bhumi Farms’ 100 percent organic local produce. You can also build your own bouquet with Missi Flowers, enjoy frozen treats by Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co., play lawn games, and more. (And don’t miss out on free yoga on Sunday—sign up here.)
If you’re one of the lucky New Yorkers who can leave the office early on Fridays, head to Summer Fridays at Brookfield Place after work today to get the weekend started early. From 3 to 8 p.m., enjoy shuffle board and sundowners on the water as you unwind and celebrate another long workweek gone.
The NYC Craft and Imports Festival is one beer-centric event brew lovers won’t want to miss! Head to Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden in Astoria to sample beers from the best local homebrewers and independent craft breweries. There will also be complimentary food pairings, and donations from the event will help fund the Queens Council on the Arts’ High School to Art School program.
