Monday
One of our absolute favorite bakeries from the NYC Best Croissant Competition, Choc O Pain, is celebrating the grand opening of their newest location in the Hudson Tea Building in Hoboken. The reception entitled “25 Years Ago – Hoboken in the 90s” will showcase artwork by local artist Jennifer Krause Chapeau and take guests on a journey through Hoboken’s factories and landscape of the 90s through her paintings and prints. Wine and bakery treats will of course be served. 1500 Hudson St, Hoboken, NJ

Tuesday
This evening, learn what it was like to know the mother of the farm-to-table movement. Join famed industry professionals Joe Yonan, Mashama Bailey, and Nina Mbengue-Williams and author Sara B. Franklin at the 92nd Street Y this evening as they dive into their experiences with the late Edna Lewis. Edna Lewis: At the Table with an American Original will give guests the opportunity to cherish Lewis’s legacy as one of the most significant cookbook author of America writing classics like The Taste of Country Cooking. 92nd Street Y, 1395 Lexington Ave. New York, NY

Wednesday
One of NYC’s most talked about annual springtime events, the Tribeca Film Festival, starts today. From now until April 29th, enjoy an array of film-related events, expert talks, and screenings across Lower Manhattan for its 17th anniversary. Kicking off the legendary film festival is the world premiere of Love, Guilda this evening at the Beacon theatre. Any other Bitches get geeked out by independent films? We’ll see you there. Thursday
Abbotsford Road Coffee Specialists is hosting a master class tonight with company founder/president Phil Di Bella of Di Bella Coffee Australia. We all know our lovely city is known for a dense population of coffee snobs. This hands-on class is perfect for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of coffee and learn how to make the perfect cup. The class will include topics like the philosophy of ethical, sustainable coffee sourcing, sampling one of the most expensive coffees in the world: Panama Geisha, coffee cupping sessions, the coffee roasting process, latte art demonstrations, and pour over and French press demonstrations. 573 Sackett Street, Gowanus, NY

Gallow Green Brunch

Friday
The Lodge at Gallow Green is officially a thing of the past as their renowned rooftop reopens today. While we thoroughly enjoyed visiting their cozy ski lodge bar this winter, we are so ready to head back outside for rooftop season! Gallow Green is incredibly beautiful in the warm weather months with purposely overgrown shrubbery and vines and 360-degree views. Brunch will officially start back up on the 28th, but enjoy some happy hour vibes in the meantime. 542 W 27th St. New York, NY

Saturday
Not sure why exactly, but we’re really feeling coffee this week. Maybe because I’m writing this post from a coffee shop. Anyhow, every weekend Toby’s Estate Coffee invites the public to its cupping classes in Williamsburg and the West Village. Think of cupping like wine tasting, except without the alcohol and with all the caffeine. All levels of enthusiasts are welcome to learn how to assess the full sensory experience by focusing on aspects of fragrance, aroma, break, brightness, mouth-feel and flavor, and leave with a better understanding of the complexity to be found within a great cup of coffee. Multiple Locations.
