Find Brunch Right Now

This Week in DC: Dec. 28- Jan. 3, 2016

Is there a worse Monday than the one after Christmas? It’s doubtful, Bitches. I’ve returned from much-needed time with family and off the computer in sunny Florida. I return to a cold, dreary Washington to stare down a to-do list that seems unconquerable. Yes, I’m grouchy!

Looking on the bright side, it’s a short week and Bitches can brunch not once, not twice, but thrice. That’s enough to bring a smile to any grumpy Bitch’s face,

Still need NYE plans? We’re giving away two tickets to Woolly Mammoth’s New Years Eve party. Indulge in an open bar, feast on delectable treats by Milk Bar, and delight in excessive amusement with a VIP performance of the Neo-Futurists’ Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. At midnight, the champagne will pour, and eventually we’ll usher in a year of *sigh* better behavior…but not until we’re done partying! Just like the Bitches and Woolly Mammoth on Facebook and comment below! A winner will be chosen on Wednesday.

Take advantage of the empty city and enjoy one of Washington’s most sought-after restaurants. Read all about where the food critics are dining over on Eater.

It’s time for the 20th Annual Night Before New Year’s, which benefits the Washington Humane Society. To celebrate two decades of pre-NYE debauchery, the party returns to the Brixton, where it will once again have the top two floors, including the heated and glass-enclosed roof deck, so head upstairs on arrival. A $10 donation benefits the Humane Society and all-night happy hour includes $5 for all drafts and rail drinks and $6 for all wine. RSVP and more info here. 901 U St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

It’s New Year’s Eve! Ring in the New Year with a great dinner with friends or at a Bitch-approved party. Check out our New Year’s Eve Party Guide here. Looking for something to wear? Check out latest sequins and fur Lust List for some outfit inspiration.

Our party guide doubles as a list of restaurants that are serving brunch on Friday. You’ll need a little hair of the dog. Bitches.

Want to get out of town? Head to Annapolis for a concert. One of my fave local bands, the Morrison Brothers, is playing at Rams Head in Annapolis. Get tickets and more info here.

  1. Ahhh, I would love to attend NEO-YEARS EVE at Woolly Mammoth. I’ve only been to Woolly Mammoth once, but this year I’m resolving to watch more local theatre. Kicking off the New Year at Woolly Mammoth would definitely set me on the right path!
