This Week In D.C.: June 4-10

Between celebrating Pride Month, enjoying the outdoor food festivals, and watching the Caps make D.C. sports history, there’s a ton of reasons to be proud to be a Washingtonian this week. Plus, two of our favorite food-focused, charitable events: Dine n’ Dash and Taste of Adams Morgan. Here’s what else is going on in our city!

Enjoy Pride Month specials at City Tap Dupont and City Tap Penn Quarter starting Monday, June 4-Saturday, June 30. Both D.C. locations of City Tap will tap Coney Island Brewery’s Pils for Pride on Monday, June 4 and offer pints for $6.50 through the month of June, with 15 cents from the sale of every pint benefitting The Trevor Project. Pints of the Pils join the happy menu from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. through June, priced at $5.

If you identify as a D.C. resident, a sports fan, or a human who has any type of social media account, you are probably aware that the Washington Capitals are making history in the Stanley Cup finals this week. Taste of Adams Morgan is an annual neighborhood event celebrating its 6th year with creative tastes from the neighborhood’s best restaurants. Participating restaurants provide samples to hungry attendees who have purchased “taste” tickets. All proceeds benefit the nearly 50,000 individuals and families who will be served this year through Mary’s Center’s comprehensive healthcare, education, and social service program. The event is this Tuesday, from 5-9 p.m. on 18th Street in Adams Morgan between Florida and Columbia. It’s a fun and affordable way to eat your way through the city! Get tickets, here.

D.C. Harvest has an experiential cocktail program where you can taste and learn how to make three cocktails. The experience also comes with an appetizer. You can reserve your experience through their website and make an evening out to dinner a little more special. We made our way over to H Street to try it out, so you know what to expect.
