This Week in Chicago: May 11-17

Unfortunately, Mother’s day weekend was filled more showers than flowers! Even though the weather was less than ideal, I hope you were able to enjoy some quality time with Mom, despite the October-like dreary weather. Let’s put the rain behind us, and see what’s in store this week, in Chicago.

Start the week off by checking out the rockin’ rooftop patio party at III Forks. The stunning prime steakhouse, located in Lakeshore East, will welcome guests for after work cocktails, beer, wine, hand-passed hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and a silent auction from 6-9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here, and are $75 per person. $50 of each ticket purchased will be donated to Common Threads.

To celebrate the glory that is Chicago Craft Beer Week, (and while we cheer on the Chicago Bulls) Dusek’s took the liberty of pairing together the best of the best for a chef-driven beer dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased here. Dusek’s is located at 1227 W 18th St.

Mr. B’s, the barbecue spot that took over the Smokin’ Woody’s space on Lincoln, is officially open. Grab the girls and head on over to check it out. They are located at 4160 North Lincoln Avenue.

Breakfast for dinner? Not a bad idea. Today is National Buttermilk Biscuit Day, so head to Hash House A Go Go where biscuits are made from scratch daily and brunch is served all day! They are located at 1212 North State Street.

Explore the Art Institute late night with After Dark in the Modern Wing.  Complimentary appetizers will be available along with a cash bar from 9:00 p.m. –12:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased here and are $30/adults and $20/members and students. The Art Institute of Chicago is located at 111 South Michigan Avenue.

We hope you signed up for our sold out SoulCycle Cardio Party, followed by brunch at Siena Tavern! Didn’t sign up? Add your name to the wait list in case of last minute cancellations.

Brunch, of course! We’re dying to try Lula Cafe’s new sunchoke hash with asparagus, spring onion sofrito, a sunny farm egg & fresh burrata. Lula Cafe is located at 2537 N. Kedzie.
