Start your week off at opening night of The Second City’s off-night winter sketch revue and laugh as they poke fun at all of the insufferable and crazy parts parts of the holidays. It’s opening night for highly anticipated Tony Award-winning hit Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre. It’s that time of year again! BrewLights is back at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Joffrey Ballet brings The Nutcracker back to Chicago. Celebrate the holiday season with this classic production featuring Tchaikovsky’s famous score, with fanciful scenery, beautiful costumes, and a timeless story. Elixir, the hot spot bar connected to Replay Andersonville, will host their first mixology course with head mixologist, Vlad. This Saturday will feature a class on how to make “Hot Toddies”. Participants will enjoy examples of classic hot toddies and hot buttered rum, learn about classic hot cocktails and will get to make their own hot toddies with a “Build your own Hot Toddy Bar,” featuring an extensive selection of Elixir’s spirits, spices, liqueurs, teas and sweeteners. We have been dying to check out the pre-fixe brunch menu at C Chicago for quite some time, and will finally be doing it this Sunday — we recommend you join us!
