Summer is here and so is the nice weather! It is also Pride Week here in Chicago, so we are extra excited to celebrate with our friends in the LGBTQ community. With so many wonderful outdoor events this week, it’s almost hard to choose which one. Well, we are here to help.  Check out what is going on this week in Chicago.


Calling all techies! The beloved, and enormous, Merchandise Mart is going to be chalk full of all the influential techies is the business this week for Tech Week. If you work in tech, or are an avid techie, head to the fest events, speakers, and innovators showcasing their latest and greatest advancements in the tech world. For more information, click here.

And for your evening activity, start off the week with the first of our Millennium Park events with the Millennium Park Summer Music Series, featuring DJ Spooky and Kelan Phil Cohran. Also worth checking out?  Headquarter’s Beercade in River North is debuting totally tubular summer cocktails and new summer menu al fresco on the new patio, which is now open. Who says you can’t start of the week with a cocktail? Not us!


One of our favorite summer activities in Chicago is back with one of our favorite Chicago films! Movies in the Park is back, and this Tuesday, they are screening Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Jazzin’ at the Shedd is back! This Wednesday head to the Shedd Aquarium and enjoy jazz, wine, the skyline, and exhibits of sea creatures. For more information, and how to get tickets, click here.

Need motivation to get moving after work? Look no further than the Bucktown Lululemon location to meet up with a group of fitness gurus who will get you moving Thursday night. Shred415 and Lululemon are teaming up for an intense outdoor workout on the 606 in Bucktown. For more information, click here.

Festival season is strong this year in Chicago, and we’re not upset about it. Head to the Logan Square Arts Festival this Friday for brews, cocktails, sangria, and bites to eat from Lula Cafe, Dimo’s Pizza, and more. For more information on the festival, click here.

To kick off the Pride Parade weekend, and go have an all-around good time, we will be checking out the best drag show in the city, “Beauties and Beaus” at Hydrate Nightclub.You never know what will happen at a live performance—the lead singer might bring an audience member on-stage, and you might see a few celeb sightings as well! If you don’t have time to get to the Shedd Aquarium for jazz this Wednesday, then go on Saturday for outdoor yoga and mimosas. Yoga Six and Shedd Aquarium joining forces to present a special yoga experience on the Lakeside Terrace at Shedd. Tickets start at $40 and include 60 minutes of yoga, a private reception with light bites, access to the aquarium, and either a mimosa or coffee beverage.
