This Week in CHI July 11- 17

As we move into the middle of July, it’s time to celebrate being in the heart of summer. So pull out those sundresses and rompers ladies because this week the temperature is as hot and we have some fun activities for you to partake in. Here is what is in store for you this week.

Monday July 11th


Millennium Park Summer Music Series is in full swing! Check out headliners Femi Kuti + The Positive Force and ProbCause, who has worked with Chicago native Chance the Rapper. Tuesday July 12th
Check out the Fremont in the heart of River North. This place invites you in for craft beers and stylish cocktails, but you’ll want to stay for the two-story lounge complete with a moon roof. Wednesday July 13th

Thursday July 14th

What’s better than whiskey and women? Come to the Whiskey and Women World Tour at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Taste Chicago’s best whiskey and meet our top mixologists. Friday July 15th

Pitchfork Music Festival has returned for another year.  The highlight of the summer for indie-loving music fans is back. Come check out awesome artists like Holy Ghost!, FKA Twigs, Beach House, Broken Social Scene, among many other artists performing this year at Union Park. Also going on in Chicago? Navy Pier’s 100th birthday celebration! Say happy birthday the right way by checking out one of the great restaurants, events, or even cruises! It’s definitely summer in Chicago, because we have another street fest upon us. Come check out Wicker Park Fest in the heart of Wicker Park. This hipster friendly-fest celebrates the wonderful unique environment that is Wicker Park.  Drink beer, eat food from local businesses, and enjoy the free concerts as you wander the streets of Wicker checking out unique spots, vintage shops, and record stores galore. Sunday July 17th

We are excited to check out Green River for Sunday brunch!
