The Lust List: Tweed Blazers
November 25, 2015 by Allison
You know that one piece in your wardrobe that you can’t wait to break out every time fall rolls around? For me, it’s my vintage tweed blazer. This piece was originally my moms from the 60s and I was happy to inherit this classic staple piece when I finally grew into it.
Of all the hand-me-downs I’ve acquired over the years, nothing beats this blazer when it comes to versatility and quality. It’s a classic piece worn with riding boots and denim in a sensible British style a la Kate Middleton. It really is just such a great piece.

When fall descended on Chicago, I immediately whipped this blazer out and paired it was my token black cotton turtleneck. The turtleneck and blazer provide just enough layers to shield me from the brisk Chicago winds whilst looking English country chic.
I always let my shoes inform what pants I end up wearing and instead of a trendy bootie, I chose my rugged yet incredibly comfortable Frye Jackie button boots. As for the pants, I chose my classic go-to AG demin skinny legging jeans. Dark wash and stretchy—what more could a girl want?
