Summer is about sunshine, blue skies, and patio brunches, of course. No matter the occasion, I am always on the lookout for the perfect summer dress that is easy, breezy, and effortless. Finding a dress that is all three can be incredibly hard, but then again, Anthropologie has never let me down.
After searching for a new dress to update my summer wardrobe, I found this blue linen frock by HD in Paris, while browsing the store one day and fell in love. This dress is my go-to for running around town, writing at my local coffee shop, and catching happy hour drinks with friends. The dress is versatile, light, bright, and minimalist, making it easy to dress up or dress down.
It’s easy to wear this dress with ballet flats or sandals, but I love a good pair of espadrilles. After discovering these at J.Crew, I haven’t taken them off my feet. The darker the hue of the shoe goes nicely with this cerulean blue dress, and I find I pair them with anything nautical and navy.
After toting the same old black leather tote back all winter, I wanted a change. In comes J.Crew to save the day again with this straw market tote. Straw bags are in this summer, and any size will do—whether it’s a tote, like this one, or a tiny clutch, you’ll see this straw trend catch some wind this season.
To polish off the outfit, it’s time to add some bling. I love statement earrings, but dislike when they are so heavy that they hurt over time. These earrings by Kendra Scott are so light that often times I forget I’m wearing them, but they’re big enough that everyone notices.
