October is an awkward time of year, the middle school of seasons, if you will. I’ll admit, I’m having a bit of an identity crisis when it comes to fashion, especially as it relates to shoes.
It’s too cold for flip flops, my boat shoes are worn down, and with 80 degree heat spikes, I’m reluctant to throw on UGGS to walk the dog. Who am I? What shoes do I wear? Enter slip on sneakers via my latest obsession Bucketfeet, a cross between Vans and street art. Bucketfeet shoes are artist-designed footwear, a.k.a the most unique sneakers you’ll ever own. Each design has not only been uniquely crafted by an artist, but also depicts that artist’s story. Plus, the brand just opened an outpost at the Shay in Shaw, which is just around the corner from me.
Not only is the design one of a kind, but the insoles are made up of cushion and comfort bubbles and are machine washable—a huge bonus!
Suede season is upon us and I’m incorporating light, but seasonably appropriate pieces, like this suede mini skirt into my outfit rotation. Like we said, neutral is the way to go this fall, so this skirt happens to combine both a warm fabric and our color palette of choice. I opt to pair neutral staples with bolder prints and colorful fall colors, such as leopard, dark florals, burgundy, and deep blues.
This mini satchel has been my go-to weekend fall bag. Although it’s way too small and compact for my weekday needs, it’s the perfect cross body bag for date night, running errands, and festivals. I love the luxurious velvet and suede accents, which immediately elevate any outfit.
