Y’all, it’s December. How is that even possible? I feel like it was yesterday I was just enjoying last December’s holiday parties with a glass of champagne in hand. Can I wear the same dress again? Perhaps to a fete or two, but I’ll need to add another frock to my repertoire.

Fa la la, it’s that time of year again. Time for festivities and cheer. (I can feel your excitement.) And you, my pretties, will need to look stunning entering the holiday party, twirling on the dance floor, sitting at the bar with a hot toddy, or canoodling under the mistletoe.

You might be exhausted by end-of-the-year deadlines, excessive family (and everyone else’s family) obligations, and schelping to-and-fro between home, office, gym, and metro with your coat, bag, purse, and laptop in tow. However, that’s certainly no excuse to miss so-and-so’s holiday party.

So, be a good little elf, pick yourself up from that afternoon cat nap, put on your dancing shoes, and type in your AmEx security code and click “buy” on one of these frocks, the holiday season is here.

Right now, in the words of Sam Sparro, “black and gold” is what I’m lusting after. Stunning cocktail dresses with accents in sequin, leather, feather, and chevron. Because there’s nothing more gratifying than being the best dressed Bitch at the party.

I couldn’t resist Bloomingdale’s Cyber Monday and selected this leather, lace, gold brocade little number. Here are the rest of our picks.
