Oh, February; the month when Cori Sue’s obsession with pink is actually appropriate. The month of love. The month when you’re truly sick of winter. (When will it end? Damn you, Punxsutawney Phil.)

In addition to brunching, working, and skiing, we’ll be sending love notes to our Bitches and beaus, as well as flowers from Urban Stems, a brilliant new business in D.C. that allows you to send a $35 bouquet straight from ze interwebs (you even get a photo of the recipient’s pure joy upon receiving).

The Bitches firmly believe in having fresh flowers in our homes, and as anyone who’s sent flowers knows, this price tag is significantly more affordable than most florists. It’s like the Uber of florists—we’re just crushed we didn’t think of this idea first.

But beyond flowers and valentines, this month our Bitch essentials are cashmere sweaters; chic, warm coats; sexy lingerie; and cute accessories that function as pick-me-ups as winter drags on.

Fashion

In the way of fashion, we’re loving a February color palette of bright red, hot pink, leopard and camel. Get festive with a pink cashmere sweater, red pants, and a camel or leopard coat for an added touch.

First up, everyone needs a pair of sassy red pants to wear on special occasions. While Cori Sue rocks the J.Crew red mini pant, City Bitch Emily loves J.Crew’s Moroccan red toothpick cords, which add a splash of color to any somber winter outfit and are perfect for the upcoming holiday.

As Valentine’s Day falls on a work day this year, a pink cashmere sweater is the perfect way take a splash of pink from desk to drinks, says Business Bitch Emily Ellis.

She’s also added this affordable yet fashion-forward hot pink pencil skirt to her closet, as it’s anything but business-wear boring.

A fan of the fit-and-flair dress, Becca will embody Jackie O and show a little skin with a lovely A-Line dress from Kate Spade. In keeping with the LBD, Baby Bitch Deidre is loving this bow-backed LBD from Topshop at Nordstrom. (And did you hear the exciting news? The District is getting its own Topshop this year!)

Cori Sue is dying for a camel wool coat to pair with her bright pants and sweaters this February. Becca just scored a gorgeous Cole Haan zip-front one, upon Cori Sue’s stylish advice.

Meanwhile, even though she’s without a valentine this year, Deidre won’t let that stop her from strutting her stuff around town in a jacket as fierce as this leopard number from French Connection. It is the perfect statement piece to wear paired with a little black dress and simple accessories for a night on the town with her other single ladies.

Last but not least, as winter continues to drown on, Cori Sue picked up some more bright winter accessories—a hot pink ear-warmer and tech-friendly gloves—as well as another pair of Hunter Rain boots with welly socks, as the snow just keeps a’comin. Red wellies, red lips, a new coat and a smile just might get us through.

Beauty

Rather than letting winter blues and romantic woes get you down, we think you should feel especially pretty in February—we’re all about romantic curls, red lips, and luscious lashes in the beauty department.

A big proponent of red lipstick all year long, Amanda Jean is lusting after this particular stick of Mac’s “Russian Red,” which we recommend for kicking your Valentine’s Day look up a notch.

For everyday wear on her pout, Bitch in the City Ally swears by NARS’ cult classic lipgloss, ‘Turkish Delight,’ to add a sweet pop of pink to your look this month.

For voluptuous, romantic eyelashes that you’ll be batting at your beau or potential suitor all month long, we swear by Dior Show mascara with Too Faced “Better than Sex” mascara as a close runner up.

Cori Sue swears by Moroccan oil for her locks, but she’s added another heavy-hitter to her mane maintenance: Frederick Fekkai’s glossing cream. Used when blow drying, this wonder product leaves your hair smooth, shiny, and perfect—and curls that last for days. It’s the next best thing to a professional blowout.

For a sexy scent, we’re loving the new Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black, an addictive blend of alluring violet, sensual sandalwood, and rich vanilla. Because anything Mary Kate and Ashley touch turns to gold. For a lighter, more femine scent, Cori Sue swears by Valentino’s Valentina. (Hint: Sephora lets you order samples and smaller sizes so you can test out the scents before making a final commitment.)

Lingerie

While the month of February is full of love, and Valentine’s Day is typically thought of as the day to shower others with affection, Baby Bitch Deidre thinks that adoring oneself should be every girl’s priority. That’s why she will be picking up this beautiful lingerie set from Topshop.

For a quick way to spice up any day without breaking the bank, Social Bitch Amanda Jean opts for lingerie from H&M, and loves that this cute set make her feel like a 50s pin-up girl. (Lacy Boy Shorts & Bustier)

Always one to be bold, Cori Sue prefers lacy things in hot pink and red—usually from Hanky Panky or Eberjey, as the brands make super-comfy yet-sexy lingerie that holds up in the wash. You can see the rest of our lingerie picks in last week’s sexy little Lust List.

Accessories

We’re all about cute little clutches this February.

City Bitch Ally can’t live without this charming colorblock Kate Spade clutch, which fits all the Valentine’s Day necessities—a phone, breath mints, and a perfume rollerball.

A true romantic with a case of wanderlust, HBIC Becca loves this “I Married Adventure” book clutch from Kate Spade.

While cozying up with her beau indoors, City Bitch Emily can’t think of a more fitting month for some fun Happy Socks than February. Plus, this leopard print foot swag pairs well with all of your Valentine reds.
