Wow, what a whirlwind year 2015 has been. We’re excited for the next chapter and to eat our way throughout 2016.
Like many of you, we’ll be partying hardy on December 31st and may wake up the next morning a little worse for wear. Whether you’re battling a hangover with some greasy food and “hair of the dog” mimosas, or you simply want to kick off the New Year surrounded by friends and good eats, New Year’s Day brunch is a tradition that we fully support. Here’s our guide of New Year’s Eve parties and New Year’s Day brunches across the city.
Put your best foot forward in the New Year with a brunch outfit that’s both chic and comfy. No one wants to wear something formfitting after an evening of indulgences, but a casual look doesn’t need to sacrifice style. Now that it’s finally chilly in New York, pile on some layered knits to stay toasty paired with a little bit of New Year’s sparkle with metallic accessories. I’m eying sensible flats after an evening of dancing in heels and plan to pack all of the New Year’s Day essentials — Advil, a water bottle, oversized sunnies — in a large, sturdy tote.
Keep the mimosas flowing…cheers to 2016!
