Back in the District and ready to kick 2016 off in style? We’ve got you covered. Check out our guide of New Year’s Eve parties and restaurants serving January 1 brunch.
As for us, we’ll be brunching at Capella. Why? Because it’s snazzy, it’s great for a group of girlfriends, and it’s in Georgetown, which means there’s time for a little retail therapy after brunch on a cold winter day.
The upscale hotel prides itself on impeccable service and a great cocktail—and that extends to brunch. The restaurant, the Grill Room, regularly hosts fashion-focused events and it’s place to see-and-be-seen in Georgetown. For brunch, we’ll be wearing a chic and casual ensemble—one that says “I know fashion, but I know how to dress down.”
We’ll be wearing our favorite Rag & Bone booties with a Prada tote and an understated fair isle sweater from Rebecca Taylor.
An easy menswear-inspired overcoat that’s not too hot and easy to slip on and off is the perfect final piece.
Read our review of Capella here. When you head to brunch, mention the Bitches and receive a complimentary glass of bubbly or a mimosa. That sounds like a great way to start the new year!
