Hello, patio season! It’s the best time of year in Washington—bless up! It’s time to come out of weather- and work-induced slumps, grab your best Bitches, and make your brunch plans. We’ve pulled together our list of the top patios in Washington for brunch this season—get the list here.
My first stop will be a return visit to Hazel, which was our top brunch in 2016. The inventive, American restaurant serves up a DimSunday brunch, with a dozen, shareable dishes ranging from bacon cinnamon rolls to duck confit biscuits.
The outdoor seating at Hazel can’t be beat: there’s AstroTurf flooring, walls lined with potted plants, and a bright, floral mural bringing it all together. Plus, there’s plenty of seating, a necessity with this popular restaurant. Here’s what we’d wear to brunch this spring.
