Currently, Shaw is my favorite neighborhood in Washington. You can’t beat a relaxed, up-and-coming neighorhood with a select smattering of bars, coffee shops, cool restaurants and everyone’s favorite Beer Garden, Dacha.
While there are cool cocktail bars like A&D and All Souls, there are only a few brunch spots—with Derek Brown leading the back with his spots Southern Efficiency and Eat the Rich (read the review here).
We did manage to enjoy a lunchy brunch at local brewery, Right Proper, on a sunny Saturday. We’d suggest rocking a pair of flat espadrilles, a laid back linen dress, and a cool tote to brunch for a laid back, on-trend ensemble. This summer, it’s all about BoHo chic with a little Mexican flair—flat espadrilles, straw totes, floral Latin prints. It’s all about making you wish you were on a beach in Tulum (and wish we do).
This outfit great style with nonchalance, which is perfect for Shaw.
