Recap: The Bohemian House Menu Preview
by Allison
On the tail of awarding The Bohemian House best mimosa in our Best Bites of 2016, and Best Brunch Date Spot in our Chicago Best & Worst of 2016 list, the restaurant hosted an event that unveiled the brand new lunch and brunch menus. Needless to say, the Bitches were excited to be invited.
This luncheon took place in the main dining room of the restaurant, and a gaggle of other wonderful foodie bloggers made their way to the restaurant for the preview. I was especially excited to attend, since my mom was in town and was my plus one for the event.
The five course lunch was a fantastic variety of dishes that offered all of us the opportunity to try some thoughtful and delicious dishes. The Boho stayed close to the bohemian style fare they are known for, and all of the dishes had German, Czech, and Austrian influences throughout.
The five course tasting included a Polish rye soup, warm barley salad, smoked trout salad sandwich, and a root beer float for dessert.
All of the dishes were incredible, and by far my favorites were the Polish rye soup, and the root beer float with the delicious and gooey meringue on top. After seeing The Boho for myself, I believe this to be one of the better, original restaurants to grace the River North neighborhood.
