Tuesday evening we were all sophisticated.
We were dipping strawberries in chocolate (and enjoying other treats from Spilled Milk). We were listening to the jazz crooning and trumpeting of Johnny Graham and the Groove. We were surrounded by the gorgeous artwork of Amy Genser.
It was stinkin’ fabulous.
Everyone in the room was dressed to the nines and there to celebrate the launch of The Sophistocrats’ website and e-newsletter—an exclusive social business network in D.C. (and our partners here at Bitches).
The group is connecting members to the best things in D.C., and providing members-only discounts and access to top retailers, restaurants, spas and hotels. The site and its emails also polish you up with tips on etiquette, how-to guides, and retailer and event reviews.
The Sophistocrats is the brainchild of Chadd Mason and Andrew Oliver, two young entrepreneurs who blew us away with their graciousness and smarts. The duo, along with a number of other young jet-setters from the D.C. area, are set to take the D.C. sophisticated scene by storm.
The best part was that the entire evening benefited the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Because giving to charity is always sophisticated.
