SHOW*OFF delivers brunch in harmony at Wunder Garten, a Bavarian-style beer garden in NoMA. It’s dog-friendly, offers a great selection of beers, and provides plenty of picnic tables and outdoor games to enjoy.
Brunch goers can step up and belt it out, or sit back and watch. Inside the heated tent, everyone’s favorite live, back-up band HariKaraoke (you may know them from Hill Country on Wednesday nights) was jamming. These guys are the best in the biz. Having a band makes you feel like a true rockstar, and the guys are kind enough to know when to drown out a bad singer like myself.
We were treated to some enjoyable performances from a mother-daughter duo, a suspiciously talented chef, and more. In the spirit of the day, Brightest Young Things intern Arielle and I, with a random assortment of volunteer Spice Girls, absolutely butchered a version of “Wannabe.”
Tickets to SHOW*OFF cost $20 and get you entrance and a brunch buffet including omelets, sausage, waffles and more to coat your stomach. Drinks are sold separately, but I assure you, they are worth it if you’re not super confident in your singing abilities.
SHOW*OFF is a fun way to kick-start a Saturday of day drinking. Bring a few friends out to enjoy great beer and solid karaoke. Get your tickets here.
