Press Release: Volo City Acquires DC-Based Millennial Media Company: Bitches Who Brunch

The acquisition grows Volo City’s female leadership team to 60 percent 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 27, 2018 – Today, Volo City, a community-driven adult social sports company, announced its acquisition of Bitches Who Brunch, a leading brunch resource for city-dwellers. The acquisition expands Volo City into a content and media company providing more opportunities to serve its community of active, engaged young professionals in its eight major metropolitan markets. Conversely, this provides Bitches Who Brunch access to Volo City’s extended network and entry into new markets.

The acquisition will propel Bitches Who Brunch into five additional cities in 2019, including Boston, Baltimore, and Miami in the first quarter. With this growth, the staff will double.

Most immediately, brunch-goers will experience a new website and champagne-flute review system, and an interactive map and calendar integration to discover nearby brunch hot spots —plus an evolution of the ever-popular Brunch Finder tool. Staying true to its female-entrepreneurship roots, Bitches Who Brunch will launch a female empowerment brunch series and yoga-and-brunch programming in January 2019.

When young professionals sign up for Volo City leagues and events, a portion of the fee goes directly to the Volo City Kids Foundation, allowing local children to participate in high-quality, youth sports leagues at no cost. In 2019, Volo City will launch a mobile application including information on local leagues, volunteer opportunities, events, and brunch spots—providing a one-stop shop for millennials to find activities, sports, brunch, and events across 12 major markets, in one spot.
