The Fashion Menu: November

I remember when I used to be vehemently against wearing navy and black together. Thank goodness those days are over, as the navy-and-black combination is my favorite go-to look for feeling sexy and chic all winter long.

Leather is everywhere this fall and lace remains a fashionable mainstay. So, when I pow-wowed with my fashionable Bitches, it just so happened we were all on the same page with what’s on our Fashion Menu this month.

This November, the Bitches are after all things navy, black, leather, and lace to the extreme. We’re feeling sexy, edgy, and maybe just a little bit vampy.

Co-Bitch Becca, who lives in sweater dresses at brunch and lives for Milly, has a navy-and-black cozy over-sized sweater dress from the designer on her must-have list. A tall glass of water, she typically opts for flats and is loving these chic pointed-toe pair from Coye Nokes.

Social Bitch Amanda Jean is craving a black studded shoulder peplum blazer.

Bitch in the City Ally is lusting after winter accessories, especially this faux fur stole and adorable “Night Owl” mittens from Kate Spade.  You’ll hear a lot more from her come December when our New York City site launches.

When it comes to handbags, even the investment bags we’re craving are naughty in navy. I thought I wanted a taupe 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli but now it seems that a tricolor navy, white, and black is the way to go. The Tory Burch calf hair satchel in navy is one of the more unique handbags I’ve seen to date.

Quick aside– how chic are these Hunter boots + rag + bone wellies? I never knew rain boots could be chic but they will certainly keep my toes dry this winter.

If you’re looking for an easy way to incorporate the navy-and-black trend this winter, opt for this classicly adorable striped skirt from Madewell.

Last but not least, I’d love it if this long-sleeve leather sheath dress by Helmut Lang appeared in my closet. I can just hear my mother saying “A $500 dress? Who do you think you are?”

A Bitch, that’s who. Make that a Bitch in black leather.
