We’re in disbelief that it’s already time to dust off our champagne flutes and sequined apparel for New Year’s Eve celebrations. Whether you’re ringing in the New Year at one of the city’s many open bars, squeezed into a friend’s apartment, or at a fancy dinner, it’s a safe bet that you’ll wake up with a slight headache and growling stomach ready for New Year’s Day brunch.

Miss Lily's Brunch

Below is a round up of our top picks of hangover cures and brunch deals across the city. Pop, fizz, clink!

The Lower East Side establishment, famous for 2+ hour long waits for its epic pancakes, is open for brunch all day from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. We still dream about the banana walnut pancakes with maple butter. Buvette makes a mean Croque Madame and irresistible croissants, perfect to patch up any NYE battle wounds. Red Rooster Brunch

Red Rooster
Red Rooster, celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson’s acclaimed Southern eatery in the heart of Harlem, won not one, but two coveted Bitches Who Brunch “Best of” awards this year. We deemed the restaurant as the best place to catch live music at brunch and best grits in the city. Red Rooster will serve brunch on New Year’s Day with its regular brunch hours from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Read our full review here. 310 Lennox Ave, New York, NY

Cafe Orlin Brunch

Cafe Orlin
This East Village brunch establishment, now in its 34th year, is celebrating 2015 with extended brunch hours from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. We recommend the classic Middle Eastern dishes such as the malawach, Israeli salad, and Tunisian eggs. Cafe Orlin does not take reservations so grab a coffee and saddle up to wait or have the “morning person” in your group of friends go put your name in. Bubby’s
We’ve given Bubby’s a lot of (well deserved) love over the years. In fact, it was Ally’s first official review for Bitches Who Brunch and we crowned it the Best Brunch of 2013 for NYC after we were blown away by the delicious baked goods, particularly pancakes and pie. As part of Bubby’s “12 Days of Brunch” special lasting until January 4th, enjoy specialty seasonal menu items such as Swedish pancakes with ligonberries, homemade eggnog, and local butternut squash and brussels sprouts hash. Bubby’s is open for brunch from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in both its TriBeCa and High Line locations. Read our full review here. 120 Hudson St, New York, NY
