New Year’s Day Brunch Guide 2012

Both Bitches have fled the country until the New Year so Baby Bitch Amanda Jean is here to provide you with your New Year’s Day brunch options in the District. Meanwhile, Becca will be cruising through the Caribbean and Cori Sue will be ringing in the New Year in the nightclubs of Bogota. Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Busboys and Poets Brunch
After partying all night ringing in the New Year, the last thing you might want to do is get all snazzy and search high and low for a decent brunch. Luckily, Busboys and Poets is hosting a pajama brunch where you can literally roll out of bed and dine on comforting and tasty cuisine!

The Bitches said: A, for affordable quality cuisine, attentive, skilled servers and a lively nurturing ambiance that makes you want to stay awhile. This was our best brunch for your buck of 2011.

It’s hard to beat El Centro’s regular brunch deal, so that’s exactly what they’ll have New Years Day. The bottomless and endless deal of Mexican small plates and plenty of tequila will be sure to satisfy, and will be the perfect way to ring in the New Year

Kafe Leopold Brunch
Along with Kafe Leopold’s regular European café, brunch and pastry menus, the restaurant will also feature additional items such as omelets, trout hash, and pancakes, but the official additional items will be determined day of. A personal favorite of Cori Sue’s, Kafe Leopold will be sure not to disappoint!

: A. Our favorite Georgetown brunch spot, which happens to serve brunch on Fridays, too. There’s a reason we keep going back.

Masa 14 Brunch
El Centro’s sister restaurant, Masa 14 offers an equally spectacular $35 all you can eat and drink deal of Latin-Asian fusion small plates such as yucca fries, chicken salad, pan dulce and lychee bellinis. Their standard menu is the special of the day, and a favorite of both the HBICs (Head-Bitches in Charge). As Baby Bitch I have yet to eat there, but let me tell you after being informed on this deal I am definitely going to try it!

Medium Rare is offering their regular brunch menu with a sweet bottomless drink deal for $23, all you can drink screwdrivers, Bloody Marys, and mimosas, and you can even switch it up!
The Bitches said: A, for high-quality cuisine, gorgeous patio, good service, and a spectacular brunch deal—with more options than dinner. This brunch is a hidden gem.

Old Ebbitt Grill Brunch
Old Ebbitt Grill, a staple for the downtown work and tourist crowd, will be adding a few select specials to their menu for the holiday season—including a surf and turf dish with a lobster tail stuffed with crab meat and a filet mignon that’s served during brunch; otherwise every part of their tasty brunch menu will available!

: A-. Take your visiting guests, not your hungover friends, as the menu covers all bases but there’s no bottomless deal.

Scion Brunch
Scion is offering a great brunch deal, and you can enjoy it all in your pajamas! Brunch will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a fresh fruit buffet and free mimosa with brunch. After the first one it’s only $5 for bottomless drinks, which Bitch Becca loves as they come by the pitcher.
The Bitches said: A. It’s an awesome bottomless deal, and the food wasn’t anything gourmet, but it hit the spot.
