Le Colonial
Le Colonial is a classic, gorgeous space in the heart of the Gold Coast, offering authentic British Colonial Vietnamese dishes in an elegant setting. This charming two story Colonial house offers private dining upstairs, in addition to the upstairs patio at the front of the restaurant that can host up to 26 guests. In the summer the patio is open-air and overlooks the bustling Rush Street below, making it the ultimate spot for al fresco dining with friends. Le Colonial, 937 N. Rush Street

River Roast
What is better than a patio with a view of the Chicago River? We love the private event spaces offered at River Roast Chicago, including a large private dining room to host your bridal shower that is accompanied by its very own private river front patio. Perfect for Chicago summers, this is the perfect place to be surrounded by friends and family and enjoy the best that downtown Chicago has to offer. River Roast, 315 N. Lasalle Drive

Lovely Kitchen & Cafe
We have been fans of Lovely for a long time, and we absolutely love the private patio that is ideal for an intimate bridal shower. Located in Wicker Park, Lovely is home to cute and delicious baked goods, that would be the perfect accompaniment for having a tea party themed bridal shower. Lovely Kitchen & Cafe, 1130 N. Milwaukee Avenue

A Rooftop Party

Cindy’s Rooftop
No surprise here, but as long as Cindy’s Rooftop at the Chicago Athletic Hotel is around, we will continue to suggest it to brides as the perfect venue for a bridal brunch with girlfriends! Offering breathtaking views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan, Cindy’s rooftop is charming and welcoming. The open-air roof allows for lots of light and their private back room provides the most picturesque setting for a bridal shower. Cindy’s Rooftop, 12 Michigan Avenue

NoMI Kitchen at The Park Hyatt
Every elegant bride deserves an elegant and memorable event where her closest friends and family can shower her with love. The gorgeous, picture-perfect rooftop space at NoMI Kitchen at the Chicago Park Hyatt Hotel provides just that. This urban sanctuary, located seven floors up overlooking downtown Chicago, is a summertime haven for sipping artfully-crafted cocktails, flawless wines and a seasonal menu. Nomi Kitchen, 800 N. Michigan Avenue

A Garden Party

Celeste Rooftop
The third floor of Celeste in River North is not just a beautiful rooftop space, but it is also known as the “roof garden” thanks to the lush greenery that surrounds the entire floor. Enclosed, making it the perfect space to host year-round events, the roof is the ultimate English Garden setting, right here in Chicago. Located in the Louis Sullivan building, built in 1888, the brick walls, elegant interiors, gorgeous bar, and plush Victorian furniture make this space an Insta-worthy spot to host your favorite people and celebrate love. Celeste, 111 W. Hubbard Street

Blue Door Kitchen & Garden
Blue Door Kitchen & Garden opened last summer and is housed in the carriage house of the historic Biggs Mansion on Elm and Dearborn Streets. It is a place to celebrate occasions, both large and small. The upstairs private dining space offers a location for a larger gathering, but if you are trying to have a small intimate get together, we recommend sitting outside on the gorgeous patio garden. Large umbrellas provide shade from the sun, and beautiful plants adorn and surround the fence providing an ideal garden setting. Blue Door Kitchen and Garden, 52. W. Elm Street

Summer House Santa Monica
Host your bridal shower in the all-seasons courtyard located on the beautiful back patio of  in Lincoln Park. This hidden gem has a retractable roof that can open during the warmer months and a cozy fireplace that can be used during the colder months. Brick-lined walls, hanging Edison bulbs and a tree adorned with string lights make for a unique space for the best bridal soirée. Summer House Santa Monica, 1954 N. Halsted Street

A Family Gathering

Honey’s is one of our favorite new spots in Chicago, and we are so happy to share that after nine months since first opening, they continue to get better and better, and offer more to guests (cue the announcement of a rumored rooftop terrace!) Honey’s offers a couple of different locations for private events in the mid-century, modernly furnished American restaurant. The cocktail lounge upstairs is a unique space adorned with gold furniture, plush jewel-toned couches, and candles everywhere you look, making it the ideal location for that one-of-a-kind, modern bride-to-be. Meanwhile, we just are in love with their full private dining space located on the first floor in the rear, the best spot to host a large gathering of family and friends. Honey’s, 1111 W. Lake Street

The recently opened Mediterranean-American inspired Eden, located on Lake Street, is home to a unique, earthy and open restaurant that is a great choice for hosting a bridal shower, large or small. With two private dining rooms, Sage or Celadon, there is a space for either type of occasion. Caledon can host up to 36 guests total, and we love the idea of hosting a family gathering for a joint bride and groom shower here. Eden, 1748 W. Lake Street

An Intimate Occasion

DL Loft
Host a Parisian-inspired fête at the DL Loft, a Parisian-style apartment and event space in Lakeview that is the go-to destination for the most Instagram-worthy events in Chicago. Debi Lilly, owner and eventeur extraordinaire, can help you create the perfect Pinterest-approved bridal shower that is customized to be just right for the bride-to-be. This two floor apartment offers a full kitchen, ideal for having caterers set-up and plate dishes, meanwhile the rest of the apartment and second floor are decorated with earthy and modern decor, and antique accents, making any spot in the space an instant photoshoot location for the bride and her best gals. Bridal decor is not needed, but we strongly encourage heading to Etsy to pick up some additional Insta-worthy decor to take your event to the next level; think paper straws, bridal banners, and photo props! DL Loft, 3050 N. Lincoln Avenue

Fennel and Iris
Fennel and Iris located in Lakeview, is another unique private event space owned by two sisters, that is what bridal shower dreams are made of. Fennel & Iris provides a lovely space and enjoyable food for dining and entertaining. The room is charming, the atmosphere is amiable and the food is delectable. Menus range from tea sandwiches and sweet treats, and three course meals, to even cupcake decorating; what fun! Fennel and Iris, 1652 W. Belmont Avenue

Little Goat Diner
We were pleasantly surprised and happy to discover that Little Goat Diner, Stephanie Izard’s fast casual “must-visit” restaurant in the West Loop, offers a unique private dining room that is the quintessential one-of-a-kind space to host a memorable shower for your girl who’s gettin’ hitched. It is an ideal spot to have a shower large or small, and we love the unique menu offerings that will make for an unforgettable meal with friends. Additionally, they also offer a rooftop space that is perfect for al fresco dining! Little Goat Diner, 840 W. Randolph Street

Jazz Up Your Event

Flowers for Dreams
Flower crowns are the essential accessory for bridal parties these days, and we just love the ones that Flowers For Dreams create. Have guests arrive to magical, goddess-like floral crowns for them to wear during the shower and take perfect pics with the bride. What we especially love about this Chicago floral design company is that a portion of proceeds go to charities that support the community and worldwide humanitarian efforts. This is something that your philanthropic bride will especially appreciate! Flowers For Dreams, 1812 W. Hubbard Street

Marguerite Gardens
Home to one of the most gorgeous floral shops in the city, Marguerite Gardens in Ukrainian Village is our other go-to florist to help make any occasion extra special. The florists at Marguerite create some of the most beautiful and unique arrangements, thanks to their fresh and ever-changing daily rotation and selection of all sorts of flowers. Cali O’Rourke Calligraphy
While you don’t have to get all fancy when planning a bridal shower, with huge floral arrangements and custom banners, we love the idea of the simplest touches to make an event extra special. Hence why we are a huge-fan of Chicago-based girl boss and calligraphy extraordinaire, Cali O’Rourke, of Cali O’Rourke Calligraphy. Whether it is custom watercolor menus, cute and picture perfect chalkboards, or even simple name placecards, her handiwork is divine. She works to create custom orders that cater to even the most unique of events, and makes memorable pieces that the bride can keep for a lifetime and remember her special shower by! That’s why Chicago-based Balloons by Tommy is our favorite way to add a unique touch to any event, with his awesome balloon displays. Using color combinations that will work perfectly with the theme and decor of your shower, Tommy can create balloon displays of epic proportions that will have everyone in awe. Balloons By Tommy
