To celebrate our fifth birthday, the folks at the popular bagel spot whipped up a cocktail, “A Salty Birthday Bitch,” that’s available on their menu for $5 for the next few months. The team at Buffalo & Bergen decided to get Bitchy with it and make us a custom cocktail for our fifth birthday. The fruity vodka cocktail is made with grapefruit and rosemary syrup, fresh grapefruit juice, bitters and topped off with a citrus salted rim. It pairs perfectly with bagels—because everything goes with bagels.
The Salty Bitch is our new go-to order at the weekend destination Union Market.
A Salty Birthday Bitch
-1.5 oz. Vodka
-1 oz. Buffalo & Bergen grapefruit/Rosemary syrup
-2 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
-5 drops grapefruit hopped bitters
In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients, fill 3/4 with ice, shake and strain over a citrus salt rimmed glass. Garnish with grapefruit peel.
