Fainting Goat

Drown your sorrows in bottomless mimosas at Fainting Goat’s Broken Heart brunch on Sunday, February 12. The U Street restaurant promises some Valentine’s surprises. No tickets required, but be sure to make reservations. 1330 U St. N.W. Washington, D.C.

Or brunch at home with a little help from Dean & DeLuca. The Georgetown shop has everything you need to surprise your S.O with breakfast in bed? The Royal

One of our favorite coffee shops, The Royal, is hosting a Nightmare Before Valentine’s Day on February 13. Indulge in a one-night-only menu of bitter cocktails by guest bartender Rachel Sergi in this edition of “Royal Knights.” Check Facebook for more info.  501 Florida Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Hank’s Oyster Bar

Join the Lonely Hearts Club at Hank’s Oyster Bar. Sip on love-themed drinks from Feb. 10-14. The bartenders are collecting gently used clothing for the Bring Your Ex’s Clothing Drive which benefits Martha’s Table (Martha’s Outfitters). No reservations required. 1624 Q St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Righteous Cheese

If you’re looking to learn, spend an evening with Righteous Cheese in Union Market in an intimate class dedicated to discovering and savoring seasonal, artisanal cheeses on February 9, 11 and 14. You’ll explore the world of cheese pairing by tasting four cheeses with four unique champagnes, along with a bounty of chocolate accompaniments from CoCo Sala. Iron Gate

Iron Gate is one of the hottest restaurants for Valentine’s Day thanks to its status as one of the most romantic spots in town. But everyone can experience the Tunnel of Love, the over-the-top pop-up that is perfect for drinks with your gal pals. We went recently and enjoyed the festive drinks and 80s love songs. We recommend the “I’ll Have What She’s Having” to drink. The pop-up is only open until the 14th so hurry in. 1734 N St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Service Bar

Bar Deco

Spend Galentine’s Day at this upscale sports bar. Bar Deco is offering half-off wine bottles and half-price specialty cocktails on Feb. 13. We’ve loved the seasonal cocktails menus here in the past. 717 6th St. N.W. Washington, D.C.

Co Co. Sala

We’re headed straight for the aphrodisiacs. Indulge in Co Co. Sala’s “Temptation” menu, a seductive five-course menu for $95 per person with glass of bubbly. We love the desserts, but highly recommend pre-ordering a box of Co Co. Sala’s artisanal chocolates when making your reservation as a surprise for your S.O.  If you can’t wait until the 14th, celebrate at Co Co. Sala’s Chocolate & Mezcal Tasting event Feb. 13th from 6-8 p.m. Try two signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a El Silencio Mezcal & Valrhona Chocolate tasting. DC Harvest

This H Street spot has one of our favorite Tuesday date night specials, so it’s extra lucky that V-Day does too! Every Tuesday, you can get an appetizer, two entrees, dessert for just $50. We’re eyeing the chocolate brioche bread pudding with raspberry puree and salted caramel. Don’t forget to try the BWB Blood Orange Fizz, an Aperol Spritz named for yours truly at the bar! 517 H St. N.E., Washington, D.C.

ENO Wine bar

This Four Seasons wine bar has a relaxed “Temptation for Two” menu for those looking to celebrate without a heavy meal. For $45 per couple, you get a glass each of select wines, a selection of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, and a flight of three luxurious chocolates. The deal is available all month long.  2810 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Buffalo & Bergen

Mixologist Gina Chersevani will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Tasting Flight called “Atlas of Love,” which allows guests to share four cocktails inspired by 12 romantic cities, plus a personalized map to take home for $45. Chef Liz Clifford will have an accompanying menu with corresponding bites for each city, such as polenta and meatballs and mini Havana Cuban sandwiches. Logan Tavern

Single? Head to Logan Tavern for their singles party. The late night (9-11 p.m.) party includes a scavenger hunt, an all-you-can-eat buffet, and two cocktails. All for $30.  1423 P St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Bidwell

Your sustainable love deserves sustainable food. For just $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity)​​​​​​​, you and your plus one can nosh on Bidwell’s special Valentine’s Day menu. Start with tuna roses with turmeric osetra caviar vinaigrette then choose from appetizers like roasted cauliflower soup or beet salad. For entrees, try the seared scallops or striped bass, or grilled lamb chops, seared duck breast. Indulge with an assortment of “sweet endings” desserts for two. The restaurant at the Hamilton Hotel is serving up a Lovers and Friends Valentine’s Day tasting menu. Highlights include bundles of romaine hearts and a vanilla-scented lobster tail. The cost per person for the three-course menu is $65, and it will be served from 4-10 p.m. only on February 14. For an added bonus, you can snag access to an endless champagne bar or a mini martini flight. 1001 14th St. N.W. Washington, D.C.

Cyclone Anaya’s

This Tex-Mex restaurant has a Fajitas Amorosas dinner lined up! For $69, you can get your fill of chile con queso, fajitas, bacon-wrapped shrimp, and more. Perfect if your bae loves Mexican food and casual joints. Check out the menu here. 2911 District Ave., Suite 170. Fairfax, VA

The Bird

On Tuesday, the fowl-centric spot The Bird is offering two dinner packages, four courses for $54 or four courses plus a bottle of wine or beer/wine pairing for $74 per person. Choose from four different prix fixe menus including a poultry heavy menu, vegetarian offerings and more. 1337 11th St. N.W. Washington, D.C.

The Pig

If pork is your preference, head to 14th Street and visit the pig for a Valentine’s Day tasting menu, with six courses for two people prices at $76 a person. We love the pork burger and the face bacon. 1320 14th St. N.W., Washington, D.C.
