There’s no time like New York Fashion Week to indulge in some designer shopping. Most New York Fashion Week events are invite-only and almost impossible to get into if you don’t work in the industry or aren’t a celebrity, but Fashion 360 is making its runway show open to the public so everyone can join in on the fashionable festivities. Enjoy a runway show (you can buy general admission or front row tickets) featuring emerging brands, and then meet the designers and models at the official after party. Saturday
Pig Island is back for its seventh year in a row, and you better come hungry because this event features more than 20 chefs serving up specialty pork dishes, which you get unlimited samples of with your ticket. There will be plenty of vegetarian and sides options too (think Mexican grilled corn, pickles from The Pickle Guys, and other tasty treats), as well as craft beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. Heading to Brooklyn for a Sunday brunch? The rustic, cozy brunch at Allswell in Williamsburg recently received top marks from the Bitches as well as the party brunch at eclectic House of Yes in Bushwick.
