Greetings from the West Coast! As fun as my travels in San Diego have been this weekend, I’m looking forward to getting back to New York with (hopefully) more consistent spring temps, al fresco city dining, and happy hours aboard various boat bars. Bitch favorite event picks for my homecoming, below.
Celebrate the start of spring with $4 beers and appetizers during CBS’ Ales N’ Apps Week, which kicks off today. A slew of bars throughout the city, including The Shakespeare, The Ainsworth, and The District, are offering a certain beer and appetizer for $4 Monday through Friday. Various times and locations.
Get to work on your beach bod at the Meatpacking District’s brand new Sweat Sessions series, which kicks off tonight. This al fresco fitness series consists of three 45 minute workout classes at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. every Tuesday. Classes range from yoga to bootcamps, and everything takes place at Hudson River Park’s beautiful 14th St. Park. 10th Ave. between 14th and 15th St.
What’s better than having breakfast for dinner? Breakfast for dinner on a massive boat on the Hudson River, which is exactly what you’ll enjoy at Village Voice’s inaugural Brunch Eats event. Indulge in breakfast bites, brunch dishes, and themed cocktails from more than 20 of NYC’s best restaurants and bakeries. There will also be live music and a killer view, so grab your tickets now and prepare for a fun-filled night. 8-11 p.m., The Intrepid, One Intrepid Square
Brides to be, if you need help selecting your bridal registry, you won’t want to miss Martha Stewart Weddings and Kate Spade New York’s upcoming bridal event. Enjoy sips and snacks while Martha Stewart Weddings editor at large Darcy Miller shares her bridal registry tips at Kate Spade New York’s home pop-up shop. Make sure you come hungry to this year’s Spring Taste NYC event because you’ll get to sample and sip the city’s best food and drink from more than 60 vendors. There will also be live music and the opportunity to mingle with the talented culinary masters behind everything you snack on throughout the night.
