There’s no such thing as Monday blues when it’s summer. You only have five days until you do it all over again, and al fresco happy hours and outdoor movies to fill your time until the weekend. Chins up, Bitches! Our social guide below.
Monday
The highly anticipated Bryant Park Summer Film Festival is back, kicking off June 20 with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Grab a blanket, pack a picnic basket, and call up some friends to enjoy this classic film under the stars in one of NYC’s most beautiful and iconic parks. If this beloved summer event doesn’t cure your Monday blues, we don’t know what will. Bryant Park, Lawn opens at 5 p.m. Film begins at sunset
Tuesday
Nothing says summer like lobster rolls and cold beer, so reserve your spot on Clipper City’s lobster and beer lovers sail. On this trip, you’ll enjoy Maine-style lobster rolls, tasty side dishes, and unlimited beer to wash it all down while sailing around the city. Clipper City, Tall Ship Slip 2, 7 p.m.
Wednesday
Don’t miss the first-ever Prince Street Block Party, featuring shopping, drinks, and much more. Enjoy special discounts at participating shops inlcuding Helmut Lang, Maje, and Sandro. Prince Street between Elizabeth and Bowery, 5:30 p.m.
Thursday
Update your lingerie wardrobe and meet supermodel Heidi Klum at Macy’s flagship shop in Herald Square. Starting at 6 p.m., Klum will be outside the store passing out 500 ice cream cones filled with the latest styles from her Heidi by Heidi Klum collection. Head up to the sixth floor to do so more shopping, and after spending $50, you’ll be eligible to meet Klum. More info here. Macy’s, 151 W. 34th St., 6 p.m.
Friday
Celebrate the start of summer with the drink of the season — rosé. At Beautique’s Rosé Summer Night’s event, enjoy a rosé tasting flight with wines from Italy, France, and Greece. 8 W. 58th St., 6 p.m.
Saturday
The food truck craze isn’t slowing down, and Mount Loretto is bringing together some of the best mobile food vendors in the city together for a two-day festival on Staten Island. In addition to delicious bites, you can also enjoy live music, and a beer and sangria garden. Mount Loretto, 6581 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, Friday at noon until Saturday at 6 p.m.
Sunday
