This Week in NYC: December 22-28

Merry merry! Emily and I are already back at home with our families, but there is a plethora of fun, festive activities back in New York. The city really seems to come alive during Christmas and I can’t get enough of the lights, window displays, and skating rinks. No matter what you celebrate, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season with friends and family!

Tis the season! Get in the holiday spirit by visiting the epic light display in the Dyker Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, the Italian-American section of Brooklyn made famous in the PBS documentary “Dyker Lights” and seen on TLC’s “Crazy Christmas Lights.” If you don’t want to DIY your own tour, try the Christmas Lights and Cannoli Tour. The tour lasts 3.5 hours and will take you through the festive homes in Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge, and includes authentic cannoli and hot chocolate from a local pasty shop.
