Find Brunch Right Now

This Week in NYC: August 4-10

As of late, I feel like I hear the phrase “Can you believe summer is almost over?!” on nearly a daily basis. But alas, it’s true, the nights are getting cooler and I can count the remaining weekends on a single hand. So, to make the most of these fleeting summer days, we’ve rounded up the events below:
If you still haven’t managed to catch an outdoor movie, pack your picnic basket and head to Bryant Park for an 80’s throwback showing of the Karate Kid. The lawn opens at 5 p.m. for blankets, with the film beginning at sunset.
Bryant Park, between 40th and 42nd St. & Fifth and Sixth Ave.

While the name may seem misleading at first, this Tuesday we’re making our way over to the Eyes Cream Social beauty event at Bryant Park, hosted by Gotham Beauty Lounge. Instead of ice cream, Bitches can enjoy eye cream treatments, waxing, and makeup services, along with some complimentary cocktails.

Bryant Park, between 40th and 42nd St. & Fifth and Sixth Ave.

Or if it is real ice cream that you’re after, try one of these recently opened ice cream shops. Located throughout the boroughs, these three new store fronts feature dairy from grass-fed cows and healthier, vegan bases. Even better, they’re topped with local, organic ingredients, like fresh fruit and herbs.

Burgers and ice cold beer, anyone? This Thursday, taste your way through over a dozen burger competitors, and quench your thirst with beer from Amstel Light at Time Out’s Battle of the Burger competition. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here.
South Street Seaport, 19 Fulton St, New York, NY

Escape the steamy streets and head over to Governor’s Island for the fourth annual Full Moon festival. The beach party festival is filled with a crowd of fashionable, creative types, and features music, art, and food from a carefully curated lineup of musicians, DJs, artists, and chefs.

Prune Brunch

Gather your girlfriends for brunch at Prune. With fun, pink accents, and an epic Bloody Mary menu, it’s the perfect locale for a little gossip and girl talk.
 54 E. 1st St, New York, NY

So you may have had your fill of burgers, but how about hot dogs? This Sunday, chefs from Revolving Dansk will be at Jimmy’s No 43 for a Danish pop-up night, serving up old world Copenhagen style hot dogs and danish craft beer.
