New Yorkers are so eager to jetset away every weekend that we forget how good we have it. This past weekend was one of the rare times I stayed put and payed homage to our city in the summer season. Cutting out the commute and overall experience with Penn Station was enough of a weekend perk, but then I threw in a Saturday at Dream Hotel rooftop pool and a Sunday actually crossing things off my to do list. I am the ultimate happy camper.

This could be your last summer Friday. Do yourself a favor and buy a day pass to Dream Hotel’s Dream Beach pool for $55. This price is a steal for a wet romp in the beautiful glass-bottomed pool, a poolside pitcher of sangria, and a really special food menu. Not to mention, you get to spend your day in sophisticated Dream Hotel company (cough cough, handsome Europeans and models). This was by far my favorite day in the city this month, and it’s well worth the price. 355 West 16th St
