This Week in NYC: August 15-21

So I’m pretty biased, as it’s my birthday, but this might just be the best week ever. You might not have an excuse to eat Union Fare birthday cake croissants like me every day the week, but we’ll still fill your week with lots of fun in our weekly schedule below.

We are psyched to partner with Billboard in celebration of the upcoming Hot 100 Festival, occurring this August 20-21 at Great Jones Beach, to compile a guide to our favorite brunches with great tunes in New York City. The Hot 100 Festival features headlines like Ariana Grande, J. Cole, Calvin Harris, and Fetty Wap, just a short drive from the city. You can purchase tickets to Billboard’s Hot 100 Festival here.

Head over to Dos Caminos Park Avenue this Taco Tuesday for a special dining experience. In honor of the weddig anniversary of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, famed 20th Century Mexican artists, Dos Caminos is hosting a three-course dinner and tequila pairing hosted by chef Ivy Stark and tequila maker David Ravandi. Dishes served will be similar to those served at the iconic couple’s wedding. 373 Park Avenue South, 6:30 p.m.

Join Stella Artois for a multi-sensory dining experience you’ll never forget. Guests will be transported through the four seasons in a forgotten garden in NYC, discovering edible curiousities along the way. Indulge in a feast from the culinary minds behind Bompas & Parr designed to enhance each of the five senses. 550 Washington St., 6:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for a way to treat yourself this week, look no further. Get your tickets for high tea at The House Gramercy Park, an 1854 carriage house just steps from Gramercy Park. You and a friend or loved one can enjoy a proper English tea complete with a pot of tea, a specialty sandwich, traditional buttermilk scones with artisanl jam and butter, and assorted cookies on a day of your choosing. 121 E. 17th St., 11 a.m.

Update your wardrobe for the new season with help from some of NYC’s most influential bloggers at Ann Taylor’s friends and family event. Styling tips, sweet treats and refreshments will all be available at this stylish event. Shoppers will also receive 40 percent off their entire purchase. 600 5th Ave., 4-6 p.m.

BBQ lovers, head to Pier 97 this Saturday for a blues BBQ festival for the books! This foodie festival will feature America’s best blues and roots musicians with NYC’s best BBQ. Participating restaurants include Arrogant Swine, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and more. Pier 97, 2-9 p.m.

Going out East this weekend? Stop by Southampton Sweat for a day full of workouts with Akin’s Army, Barry’s Bootcamp, SLT, Townhouse, and more! Plus, we can’t say no to juice by Juice Press. 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., field outside Southampton Arts Center
