This Week in NYC: April 30–May 6

It’s gonna be May—sorry we had to. Welcome to another week, Bitches. It’s looking like we might finally break 80 degrees this week, and we cannot wait to get out on the town and celebrate. We’re carbo-loading the beginning of the week for stamina—think croissants and bagels. And with a little Mean Girls to help us make it through hump day, it’s basically smooth sailing until the weekend. Keep reading below for this week’s agenda.

National Butter Day is tomorrow, and you don’t want to miss out on your chance to get in on free croissants in celebration. From a.m. to 11 a.m. today and tomorrow, enjoy a free croissant with your coffee purchase at the French Cheese Board. Butter is an integral part of French cooking, not to mention its responsible for a good croissant. You don’t want to miss out. 41 Spring Street, New York, NY

Celebrate the start of a new month with a brand-new collaboration from Black Seed Bagels and Smile To Go, the Spring Greens Bagel. Made with the It green of the season—ramps—made into a cream cheese as well as fava beans, snap peas, pea shoots and a mix of fresh herbs on a chili flake bagel, this bagel sandie sounds like the perfect way to get in your daily dose of greens. You can find the Spring Greens Bagel at all Black Seed locations as well as the new Smile To Go location at the Freehand hotel.

We hope you’re wearing pink today, Bitches. After work tonight, celebrate making it through another hump day with a screening of Mean Girls at Videology Bar & Cinema. Each ticket to the screening gets you a complimentary strawberry daiquiri as well. Whoever can quote the most lines wins. Tickets, $24, available here308 Bedford Ave. Brooklyn, New York

Why not indulge a little this payday and do a bit of shopping? Right now one trend we’re loving is smocked tops—a throwback from childhood—which our editor Lindsay just pulled off stunningly in our latest Lust List. Shop Lindsay’s look and similar pieces here.

This year Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby fall on the same day, so you’ll have to get in twice the partying today, and there’s no better place to do so than Magic Hour at the Moxy. A ticket to THAT! Derby Party, $30, includes a one-hour open tequila bar, but you must be dressed to impress to make it upstairs to the gorgeous views at this rooftop bar. Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge, 485 7th Avenue, New York, NY

More brunch, you say? You got it. We recently had a delicious bottomless brunch at Bea in Hell’s Kitchen where the decor was beautiful and the food was made to match. More of an uptown girl? You’re going to want to check out Clay in Harlem for a simple Sunday brunch hot spot.
