Monday

EatWell DC’s new restaurant and bar The Bird is officially hatching today at 4 p.m.! The poultry-centric concept will showcase four seasons of fowl while sourcing vegetables from EatWell Natural Farm and meat from local poultry producers. The menu, crafted by Chef and partner Michael Bonk, is inspired by poultry dishes from around the world using chicken, capon, duck, quail, turkey, squab, grouse, goose, and ostrich as well as their eggs. We loved the pop-up brunch so we can be sure to love everything else! Cluck cluck. 1337 11th St. N.W., D.C.

DC Foie Fest is the reincarnation of Foie La La, the H Street foie gras festival started four years ago. It is a friendly competition between local restaurants for the Golden Duck trophy. Each location will create a foie-centric dish to offer as a menu special and the winner is decided by popular vote.  Make your reservations now for the last couple days of Foie Fest–ending November 3! Check out the website for more information and a guide to foie. We love B Too’s foie, pictured below.
