Hawthorne and Bud Light are hosting a Bracket Battle from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. tonight in honor of March Madness. The event with feature bartenders from bars across D.C. competing to see who can mix the best beer cocktail. Partygoers decide who wins. All you have to do is drink and vote. Espita Mezcaleria, the newly opened Southern Mexican-inspired restaurant, will kick off their new monthly “Taco Takeover” series. On the last Monday of each month, guests can sample tacos from guest chefs hailing from D.C. and New York City. Kwame Onwuachi of the upcoming restaurant, The Shaw Bijou, will offer a posole braised smoked ham hock with avocado and black lime crema, chicharrón, and havas crumble taco. Tacos will be priced starting at $12 for two to three. The event will take place from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. 1250 9th St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Enjoy Mosaic Theater’s performance of After The War. The show tells the story of Joel, a world-famous concert pianist and Israeli expatriate who returns to Tel Aviv following an 18-year absence to perform with the Israeli Philharmonic. The play explores whether true healing can ever be achieved, be it through the performance of art, or the hopeful expressions of a fiercely committed activist. Is there a better pairing than cheese and wine? Join The Vineyard for a Wine & Cheese Extravaganza. You’ll have the chance to taste a variety of domestic and imported gourmet cheeses.
