Merry merry, little reindeers! We had a great weekend of brunch and holiday parties and are energized for the week! Hopefully, we’re all able to get through this work week and on to the holiday season. Now that you’ve gotten your shopping out of the way, here’s your social calendar for the week.

Monday

Are you prepared for the holidays?  If you’re still shopping for your loved ones, check out our gift guides for girls, guys, hostesses, and foodies. Better yet, head over to our newly launched Bitches Who Brunch Shop to pick out some Bitchtastic goodies for your loved ones.

If you’re looking for a local gift, we’d recommend sending a new Urban Stems holiday bouquet, picking up some Compass Coffee holiday blend, or ordering some District Doughnuts. For the winos in your life, order the Winestyr Bitches wine pack.

Or, head down to the Portrait Gallery and check out the holiday market. It’s open through the new year.

Tuesday

This evening, I’ll be at Union Market for the Rising Stars Chef Gala, highlighting the areas top chefs including Kyle Bailey of The Arsenal, Mike Friedman of Red Hen, Aaron Silverman of Rose’s Luxury, Mike Isabella, and others. A portion of the evening’s proceeds go to DC Central Kitchen, America’s leader in reducing hunger with recycled food, training unemployed adults for culinary careers, serving healthy school meals and rebuilding urban food systems through social enterprise. Tickets, $95. VIP reception with Champagne & Petrossian begins at 5:45 p.m. Gala 6:30 – 9 p.m. Union Market, 1309 5th St. N.E., Washington, D.C.

Wednesday

Why not enjoy some holiday cocktails with your bae or Bitches? Nopa Kitchen + Bar has added four winter cocktails to happy hour, which runs 4:30-7 p.m. Monday- Friday. Typically, this afternoon occurrence offers 20% off wines by the glass and cocktails. Cocktails include a Kentucky Coffee, with Baileys, Jameson, and coffee, as well as a Nopa Hot Toddy, with Cardamom-infused Bourbon, apple and honey syrups, and topped with an Amaretto meringue. Sounds like a great excuse to catch up with friends for the holidays. Nopa Kitchen + Bar, 800 F St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Saturday

Brunch, of course. Lately, we’ve enjoyed Medium Rare, Paolo’s, and Mama Rouge.

We also happen to think that Central is the perfect spot for an upscale holiday brunch. Read our brunch review for what to order and today’s Side of Style for what to wear.

Sunday

Via Umbria, a new, upscale Italian market in Georgetown, is holding holiday dessert sampling. Sounds like the exact type of thing we’d like to do on a Sunday. The market will be providing samples of Italian drinking chocolate and holiday desserts and also provide holiday gift basket demonstrations. 1525 Wisconsin Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.
