If you hear that collective sigh around Washington, it’s because September is upon us this week, and that signals that summer is not, in fact, endless. Just because the season is winding down; however, it doesn’t mean our social lives are. We’re taking advantage of what’s left of warm weather events all week in Washington. At least we have a long Labor Day weekend to ease our end-of-summer pain. See where we’re savoring its last moments of the summer this week below.

Get your final tastes of Maryland’s summer specialty, blue crabs, this Monday at the feast happening at The Fainting Goat. Then, you’ll take an enormous box of cheese home with you, either to take to a dinner party or to enjoy through the month. Cheese-lovers can also score discounts on beer and wine after each class.
