Ah yes, the start of summer is officially upon us. I hope your Memorial Day weekend was filled with BBQs, vino, and brunch favorites…mine sure was! As we try to detox this week while getting back into the swing of things, let’s indulge in a few of the activities Chi-Town has to offer. YOLO, right?

Hub 51 and Rog McGuin from Chicago-based Half Acre Beer Company host a 3-course family-style dinner crafted by chef John McGowan. Pairings include Half Acre’s pale ale Daisy Cutter. Tickets are $60 per person. Hub 51 is located at 51 West Hubbard Street, Chicago, IL 60654 . (312) 828-0051.

Osteria La Madia holds an interactive “Chef’s Table” event on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. This intimate, market-driven dinner incorporates a five course meal, paired with wine, created with Chef Jonathan Fox’s findings at the Green City Market that same morning. Chef Fox meets and mingles with guests while discussing seasonal ingredients and the benefits of sourcing locally. Tickets are $65/person and includes wine pairings.

In honor of  National Burger Day, head to RPM Steak and try their killer dry aged steak-burger. RPM Steak opens at 11 a.m. for lunch and is located at 66 West Kinzie Street, Chicago, IL 60654. (312) 284-4990.

K. Amato Jewelry is doing a pop-up store May 28-30th with Henry & Belle Denim in the Gold Coast. The pop-up will held at 7 East Huron Street Chicago, IL 60611.

Cheers, Bitches! Let’s welcome the weekend by sipping on vino at the Lincoln Park Wine Fest. Over two days, sommeliers and winemakers from around the world will uncork bottles  in the open air of Jonquil Park, introducing fest goers to vintages from California, Italy, Chile, and even New Zealand. As they sip, they can also take in the festive sounds of live music, peruse wares from local artisans, and snack on locally-crafted food. Tickets are $60 ($45 with Groupon). Jonquil Park is located at 1001 West Wrightwood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614.

Brunch, of course! With so many brunch spots to choose from, here are a few that are high on our list: Lula Cafe, Whisk, and White Oak Inn.
