Fall is in full swing with the changing leaves and brisk breezes fluttering through the city, but that’s not slowing us down! Here are things to do this week to keep you busy in Chi-town.

Like something out of a movie, the Palm Court at The Drake Hotel is screening spooky movies this month. Take some time Monday night and go see the 1925 version of The Phantom of the Opera in the iconic hotel while enjoying beautiful food and cocktails, which is guaranteed to be a spook-tacular evening. It’s an exciting time to be a Chicagoan. Our Cubbies are in the Championship Series and Tavern on Rush is offering a contest for all our cubbie fans! If you’re able to correctly predict the score of the Cubs game, you’ll win $1,000 ($500 cash and a $500 gift card) from October 20th through the 22nd. Simply go and enjoy watching the Cubs game at Tavern On Rush in their bar, dining room or patio on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Contest Rules: – Must register your name & email with your score prediction before the game. – Registration will be held one hour before the game up until game time. – If there are multiple entries with the correct score, all correct entries will be entered into a secondary raffle. – One winner will be awarded $1,000.00 ($500 cash/$500 gift card). – Prizes will be awarded immediately after the final score. – Winners must be present to redeem prizes.

After a long week, it’s always nice to enjoy a happy hour after work! Some #BitchApproved Happy Hours are Woodies in Old Town, where you can get ½ priced bottles of wine, pitchers of sangria, salads and wraps! If you’re looking for something more mellow, check out the $5 martinis that Dukes is offering in Lincoln Park. Either way, you can’t go wrong! Being a basic Bitch means loving all things pumpkin and Chez Moi is making it easy to indulge in this season’s favorite flavor! With pumpkin soup, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin crème brûlée, and more! One of the most popular comfort foods has a festival dedicated to it. On Saturday, the 2nd Annual Mac and Cheese Fest hits Chicago; take the time to indulge in one of my favorite go-to quick dinner options.
