Monday
It’s the best time of the year! Chicago Restaurant Week is here, and we are super excited to get our grub on! We are looking forward to checking out some new spots, as well as visiting some of our favorite Chicago restaurants. The annual culinary celebration features special prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33 and/or $44 for dinner. For more information click here.

Tuesday
Have you checked out the Museum of Contemporary Art’s latest mega-exhibit, “Pop Art Design”? This exhibit celebrates the work of Andy Warhol and his highly celebrated peers. Take a look at how Warhol’s paintings of Marilyn Monroe and Campbell’s soup cans, influenced the look of chairs, sofas, lamps, and even architecture during the culturally ebullient 1960s and 1970s. Wednesday
We are excited for some mid-week munchies and will be taking advantage of the Restaurant Week lunch offerings at $22 a person. Some of the items on our list? The braised duck ravioli atAndrew Zimmerman’s Sepia, as well as the apple strudel at Jimmy Papadopoulos’s Bohemian House. Thursday
Join the Associates Board of Neumann Family Services for their 4th annual Winter Warm Up event. Enjoy networking and supporting a worthy cause while sipping on delicious spiked milkshakes and small bites. Warm things up by bringing a newly purchased blanket and/or set of twin bed sheets. You will receive a raffle ticket for each item you bring. The more blankets and sheets, the more chances to win! Proceeds benefit Neumann Family Services, a Chicago based non-profit that integrates individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness into the community and enriches their quality of life with choice and independence. Friday
We made it through the week Bitches! Now it is time to ease right into the weekend with a happy hour head into River North to check out the happy hour at Trouquet. Trouquet is a quaint little French restaurant and bar in the heart of River North with eclectic and urban decor. Happy hour specials include $4 beers (some exclusions), $5 house cocktails and $6 glasses of house red and white draft wine. Looking for something to do late night? Every Friday Trouquet features “Folk Fridays” where you can listen to live country and folk music, and sample whiskey and bourbons. For more information on both click here. Saturday
Appellation, the restaurant within Pastoral Andersonville, debuted their new Brunch menu last weekend, and this weekend we will be heading north to check it out! Brunch dishes include Baked French Toast, Eggs Baked in a squash-herb cream sauce with Prosciutto, Steak and Eggs and a Warm Mushroom & Kale Salad. For more information click here. Appellation serves brunch Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday
Donut Fest is back! For the third year in a row, Chop Shop is serving up doughnuts with its Donut Fest in Wicker Park. Come celebrate the love of fried sugary dough with a competition of yeast, batter-y, deep-fried treats. The best restaurants and bakeries in Chicago submit their best cruller, ring or long-john and compete against each other with only one walking away with the coveted title of “Best Donut.” Vendors include Glazed and Infused, Stan’s Donuts, Doughnut Vault, Firecakes, Longman & Eagle, and many others!
