The days are getting shorter and colder, but just because the sun is setting earlier doesn’t mean your social calendar should go dark! This month, we have lots of fun events that are about giving back so forget the cold and go out and have fun for a good cause!

Networking never stops and a first impression is a lasting impression. So, when you don your ugly holiday sweater, it makes it all the more memorable! This Monday, head to Half Acre Brewery and meet other young Chicago professionals and eat, drink, and take a tour of the brewery while decked out in your favorite ugly sweater from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.. Can’t get enough of networking? Well, Tuesday at Brass Monkey from 6-9pm you’ll have a chance to mingle with young professionals hosted by Network After Work, an organization with over 1 million members and 60 events across the country every month. It’s $15 in advance, $20 with RSVP at the door, and $25 at the door without RSVP. So head there and make this happy hour count! More info here.

Looking to be transported to another time? Well, head to Christkindlmarket at the Daley Plaza anytime until December 23rd to shop in an open-air market inspired by the original market in Nuremberg, Germany from 1545! Who doesn’t love drinking for a cause, especially around the holidays? On Friday, Flagship is hosting a Happy Hour Toy Drive where patrons who bring in a toy item will get $5 off the Friday Happy Hour Package price. All donations will go to the Craniofacial Center at UIC so go drink, eat, and give back. For more information, click here.

Everyone loves a good tacky sweater party, and Chicago Sport and Social is partnering with the Junior Council to host an epic ugly sweater Holidaze party at Hopsmith Tavern that will benefit the Anne and Robert H. Beerfest Beatdown is back in Hoffman Estates so grab your favorite group of friends (and a responsible DD of course) and head to this amazing festival where you’ll have a chance to try over 100 different beers from 30 breweries in the area.
