It’s Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras, Carnival, and Valentine’s Day all in one week. So much excitement, I can hardly contain myself.

On the love thing, make sure you make your beauty appointments early—they’re booking up quickly. Nival’s Goddess Blowout or “Love That Lasts” manicure are both super amazing. Also, VIDA Fitness’ Aura spa is offering Hot Cocoa Massages on Thursday.

You say roses? I say spa.

Tonight, The Source is hosting a Chinese New Year extravaganza with Master Chef Wolfgang Puck. Seats to the six-course dinner are sold out, however Chef Puck and Chef Drewno will now host a dim sum reception in the bar and lounge. Priced at $50 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), the reception will include unlimited dumplings and sparkling wine from 8 to 10 p.m. The Source, 575 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C. Whether it’s Mardi Gras or Carnival, it’s time to celebrate on Tuesday evening!

Beads optional: Celebrate Fat Tuesday at Cashion’s Eat Place. The Adams Morgan staple is serving up a three-course Nola-inspired tasting menu for $30 per person (with $5 Hurricanes). Whet your appetite with fried oysters with tartare sauce and red onion escabeche.  Then move on to Sous Chef Sammy’s chicken etouffe. Finally, satisfy your sweet tooth with Pastry Chef Lauren’s beignets with house-made Nutella. (202) 797-1819.

Another top pick for your Fat Tuesday, Southern Hospitality (SoHo)’s Mardi Gras party! There will be plenty of beads and DJ Vicious will be spinning at 7pm. They’re serving up a delicious New Orleans-inspired buffet from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring snow crab legs, jambalaya, King cake and more.

Mask optional: Celebrate Carnevale di Venezia at Assaggi Mozzarella Bar. They are serving up a four-course pre fixe menu, prepared by Owner/Executive Chef Domenico Cornacchia. Priced at $49 per person (tax and gratuity not included), along with the fabulous dinner you also get an assortment of freshly baked Venetian biscotti to take home. (301) 951-1988.

Wednesday is officially wine night for us, as our favorite places are all offering half-priced bottles of vino with dinner. Lavagna, SoHo, and Policy are the top places we recommend. Tell ‘em we sent ya.

After dinner, head to the REVEL D.C. launch party at Capitale. Featuring veteran DC Dave Audé and local DJ Neekola, the event is sponsored by Pelonkey, a new online marketplace coming this spring to bring the events industry into one easily accessible, secure marketplace. No Valentine? No stress. Join the Washingtonian and eligible bachelors and bachelorettes at Penn Social Thursday evening for a Singles Soiree. There will be skeeball, shuffleboard, pool, foosball, and board games, plus live music, a photo booth, goodie bags, and more. Head to Nival Salon and Spa for a little post-V relaxation. Our favorite salon and spa is hosting an event to benefit The Ruth Project. From 5 to 8 p.m. there will be a silent auction and a chance to win an iPad mini. Nival Salon and Spa, 5481 Wisconsin Ave. N.W., Chevy Chase, Md.

There’s a party brunch group in town called TOAST, and while we haven’t checked it out yet, we’re intrigued by their creative concepts. We might stop by Saturday’s TOAST brunch, entitled Beauty & The Brunch, to see what it’s all about. They are promising a Beauty Boutique pop-up, pampering services, and a three-course brunch with bottomless mimosas. Sounds snazzy. Get tickets here.

It’s another epic three-day weekend, which is pure brunch bliss for us. To work off all those Hollandaise calories, we’ll be participating in VIDA Fitness’ Zumba event this weekend. On Sunday at 2 p.m. the U Street location will host the best Zumba instructors in town, who will are sure to make you shake your hips to high-energy Latin music.
