It’s the week before Christmas! Just in case you’re not done shopping for gifts, last week we published two helpful gift guides: one for the girls, one for the guys, and, this afternoon, we’re posting one for the host or hostess in your life. Still stumped? We’re giving away the perfect gift for the foodie in your life (check it out, below).

Once the shopping frenzy has died down, we know the next thing on your mind is your New Year’s plans. Sparkly dress? Check. Lots of fabulous friends? Check. Great party with open bars and gourmet food? Here you go: The Bitches will be celebrating the New Year at DC’s biggest New Year’s Eve party at the Washington Hilton. Click here for info. You’re welcome.

Also, in case you missed it, we published our 2013 Best & Worst Brunches of the Year list last week. We also drilled down on the Best Bites of the Year, too. So get out your Google calendar, fill up this week with plenty of fun and fabulous outings, and start preparing for your 2014 brunching, too!

Monday

One of our favorite West End dining spots, RIS, is serving up a $25 prix fixe Jingle Lunch Club menu for the rest of December. Head there during regular lunch hours, Monday through Friday, to enjoy a three-course holiday lunch at a perfect price. 2275 L St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Tuesday

Snap yourself in your best ugly holiday sweater and you could win a free three-month gym membership to VIDA Fitness. The fitness club is poking innocent fun at the holiday season by kicking off its ugly holiday sweater contest, which runs through Christmas Eve. Simply take a picture on Twitter or Instagram and tag #VIDAfitnessDC or #VIDAugly to enter.

Wednesday

We’re super excited that Washington City Paper is hosting an opening party for the new City Tap House location near City Center. Find out more, here.

Giveaway!

Need a great gift for the foodie in your life? We’re giving away a $50 Zagat Dining Card, a unique e-Gift card that is currently accepted at over 250 top-rated restaurants in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. It’s the perfect way to treat your favorite foodie to a highly rated meal. To win, follow Bitches Who Brunch on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, BlogLovin, and Pinterest, and leave a comment below. Our Social Bitchin’ is awesome, you won’t be disappointed.

Thursday

Baby Bitch Deidre will be at the Carolina Kitchen’s Sixth Annual Holiday Soiree and Toy Drive. This lively holiday extravaganza, with three celebrity guests who will be entertaining and spinning tunes, is sure to be a hit with toys and donations benefiting Children’s National Medical Center; The Ronald McDonald House Charities, and The Trayvon Martin Foundation.  Cocktail attire and dress jackets are required and to attend, each invited guest is asked to bring one new, unwrapped toy. Tickets, online. 7 p.m., Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square, Washington D.C.

Friday

We love all the new businesses and restaurants that are popping up in Navy Yard (can’t wait for the second Penthouse Pool location to open this summer!). This week we’ll be checking out the new modern Mexican restaurant Agua 301. Chef Antonio Burrell will be holding court and whipping up some fantastic Mexican dishes, no doubt. Head there this weekend to check it out. 301 Water Street S.E., Washington, D.C.

Saturday

Saturday morning brings two of my favorite things: running and holiday festivities with a Ugly Sweater 5K! Along the 3.1 mile run, rather than water stations, there will be stations with hot chocolate and a choice of Sam Adam’s Winter Lager, Boston Lager, or Angry Orchard Hard Cider. Other fun perks to get you through the jog include huge inflatables, photo stations, and awesome holiday music.  Register online to join in the fun. You can use a LivingSocial deal for run registration of $22 rather than $39, which includes: the race entry, an Ugly Sweater knit hat, and two festive brews. For more information, visit the website, or check out the Facebook page.

Sunday

Brunch, Bitches. Lately, we’ve loved Boqueria, Et Voila, Nopa Kitchen + Bar, and Palena. Because there’s nothing better than Nutella-filled churros. Really, there isn’t.
