Why not catch a play? Jersey Boys is in town, Billy Elliott started this week at the Kennedy Center, and Chicago’s Second City is back at the Woolly Mammoth for Spoiler Alert: EVERYBODY DIES. We saw that one last night; check back Wednesday for the review.

Local designer Dana Greaves of ARTAYA is showing off her holiday collection in a trunk show all weekend long at Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase. Inspired by the Crimson Rosella bird, the 2011 ARTAYA Holiday collection has a color palette of crimson red, lightning purple, blush, sand, and a boss black, and is described as “whimsically sophisticated.” Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Bloomingdale’s Chevy Chase, 5300 Western Ave. Chevy Chase, M.D.
