Iron Gate’s ‘Tunnel of Love’ Valentine’s Day bar returned on  February 1st. Last year’s two-week pop up was so popular, they decided to bring it back for this year’s holiday. Spirits Manager Nick Farrell and Chef Tony Chittum are drawing on inspiration from Edgar Allen Poe – adding a bit of darkness while celebrating a local romantic author – complete with cocktail and food menus divided into two categories: ‘heart’ vs. ‘heartbreak.’ The carriageway bar decor will follow suit with red, black and burgundy flowers and feathers (a nod to “The Raven”).

At 7:00 p.m on Wilson Blvd in Arlington, thousands of people will gather along the route to watch the range of floats, bands, decorated vehicles and marchers in this year’s Mardi Gras Parade. The most romantic day of the year is here and local restaurants will have many ways to celebrate the holiday. From elegant, multi-course dinners with memorable ambiance to shareable cocktails and conversation with a friend squad, BRABO, Firefly, Radiator, Urbana, and Zentan have the perfect celebrations to express both romantic and platonic love
