There’s no season that isn’t a season for giving. That being said, there are tons of way to have fun and give back here in D.C. One particular charity event that’s worth attending is the 7th Annual WINNter Affair for the Children’s Inn on February 24th. Purchase tickets, here.

Tuesday
Iron Gate’s ‘Tunnel of Love’ Valentine’s Day bar returned on  February 1st. Last year’s two-week pop up was so popular, they decided to bring it back for this year’s holiday. Spirits Manager Nick Farrell and Chef Tony Chittum are drawing on inspiration from Edgar Allen Poe – adding a bit of darkness while celebrating a local romantic author – complete with cocktail and food menus divided into two categories: ‘heart’ vs. ‘heartbreak.’ The carriageway bar decor will follow suit with red, black and burgundy flowers and feathers (a nod to “The Raven”).

At 7:00 p.m on Wilson Blvd in Arlington, thousands of people will gather along the route to watch the range of floats, bands, decorated vehicles and marchers in this year’s Mardi Gras Parade. It’s great fun, and you should enter your group, business, or nonprofit in the parade. Everybody who participates loves this event.

Wednesday
The most romantic day of the year is here and local restaurants will have many ways to celebrate the holiday. From elegant, multi-course dinners with memorable ambiance to shareable cocktails and conversation with a friend squad, BRABO, Firefly, Radiator, Urbana, and Zentan have the perfect celebrations to express both romantic and platonic love

Feeling like Valentine’s day is slightly overrated, but don’t want to give up on the notion of having sweets and spreading the love? You don’t have to. We figured out the best way to throw a Galentine’s day party. Find out some tips and tricks, here.

Black Jack will not leave you thirsty this Thursday!

With 10 Tony® nominations including Best Musical, SOMETHING ROTTEN! is a hit. This hilarious smash tells the story of two brothers who are desperate to write their own hit play while the “rock star” Shakespeare keeps getting all the hits. When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, the two set out to write the world’s very first musical. This show is fantastic. A definite must-see.

Friday
A new Indian spot opened up in Gallery Place. Karma is cranking out modern Indian fare that could please just about any diet. Vegan and carnivores alike can enjoy their delicious apps and entrees paired with a custom drink. Sounds like an ideal Friday night, no?

Saturday
Tiger Fork is gearing up for a blow-out Chinese New Year celebration! The festivities kick off on Saturday, February 17th at 2:30 p.m. in the historic Blagden Alley. Outside of the restaurant, guests can enjoy a special performance featuring Chinese lion and dragon dancers performing along the Alley. This traditional ceremony signifies prosperity, good luck, and good fortune. Guests can also enjoy Kung Fu demos from martial arts professionals, while sipping complimentary hot tea.

Sunday
If there’s one reason to wake up on Sunday excited for a healthy brunch, it’s because of Bluestone Lane. This coffee shop has all the cozy and fresh vibes of a trendy cafe, but with all the hearty meal options you want out of a restaurant. Whether you’re recovering from a rough night out, or just want to start the day with a heaping helping of avocado toast, this brunch is calling your name.

While the Bitches Who Brunch write this post independently, compensation is received from partnerships with Black Jack, The Children’s Inn, and Lavagna.
