Oh, sadness: the summer flew by! I can’t believe Labor Day weekend is coming up—and then we’ll be knee deep in this fall’s busy social schedule.

In preparation for the fall, don’t forget to attend our Fall Fashion party at Intermix Tuesday night to get fitted for your perfect pair of J Brand jeans. Click here to RSVP.

In the meantime, plan some fun D.C. adventures and make the most of the last glorious week of summertime.

Take a breather before the craziness begins this week and get your butt to VIDA Fitness for one of their expert fitness classes. We love the VIDA Body and VIDA Barre—and there are ab mat classes every 30 minutes. Check out the full schedule here.

Make sure you don’t miss our Fall Fashion Party at Intermix in Georgetown Tuesday evening. We’ll be at the super trendy store offering our loyal readers a very special J Brand fit clinic—so you can find your perfect pair of fall denim. We’ll be serving up champers and bites, and Ryan Ulbrich will be spinning of-the-moment music. RSVP on Facebook—see you there! Intermix Georgetown, 3300 M St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

It’s half-priced wine night at Lavagna and Policy. Lavagna, 539 8th St. S.E., Washington, D.C. Policy, 1904 14th St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Plus, new sherry and ham spot, Mockingbird Hill, offers free sherry tasting classes from 5-6 p.m. every Wednesday. Cori Sue went this weekend, loved the Spanish food, and now she likes sherry! Mockingbird Hill, 1843 7th St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Head to the Art Museum of the Americas for its After Hours. Enjoy the collection exhibition, Fusion, with music and drinks. Custom Fuel, the upscale version of its sibling Fuel restaurants, just opened a half block east of The White House. This artisanal pizza concept, incorporating organic seasonal local produce, a variety of doughs and custom ordered personal sized pizzas, is a first of its kind venture. These individual pizzas with thin and crisp crusts are made to order with the finished product handed to the customer within two minutes. Check it out Friday night.

Last weekend, Cori Sue enjoyed a yoga lesson followed by a light, healthy brunch and bottomless mimosas, bellinis and Bloody Marys on the roof of the luxurious Graham Hotel in Georgetown. The Saturday morning activity is done in partnership with Core Power Yoga, Lululemon Georgetown, and the Graham. It’s $44, inclusive of tax and gratuity, for the yoga lesson and brunch. Starts promptly at 9 a.m. The Graham, 1075 Thomas Jefferson St., Washington, D.C.

  1. Hi ladies! Love the site. I just wanted to give you a heads up that I went to Lavagna for dinner a couple Wednesdays ago and to my dismay found out that they switched 1/2 price bottles of wine to Sunday and Tuesday nights now. Just wanted to give you a heads up since I see them on here every once in a while and do not want someone else having the same misfortune as me (although I did get to try their specialty cocktails and have some homemade limoncello and that made everything better!). Thanks for the awesome site!
